This result has been established via an independent third-party survey** covering the LCD manufacturing equipment market. The survey categorized and totaled the unit numbers for all equipment shipped betweenJanuary and December 2009 by individual manufacturing process. In the coater/developer segment, DainipponScreen’s SK series captured 69% of the global share during this period, allowing the company to retainthe global number-one position in this segment for six consecutive years, starting in 2004. Screen also secureda 78% share in the segment for manufacturing equipment of 5th generation or larger substrates.
